I think the reason I liked Franny so much is that after all the rejection she had faced in her life, first her parents and then her husband, she stands up, dusts herself off and moves forward with an inner strength that is admirable and raises her daughter alone and what a daughter she raises. Rose is only twelve but what a wonderfully self-assured young lady she is, definitely inherited her mother's strength and grace. The author did an amazing job telling the story of Franny and Ed, their budding relationship will warm your heart. Each of the characters is well-crafted but I must say that Rose was such an integral part of the book and definitely added a lot of depth to the story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
