But she's not alone, not really. Pepper, one of the engineers who risked life and limb to reinstall Lovelace, is determined to help her adjust to her new world. Because Pepper knows a thing or two about starting over.

I had really hoped this would be a continuation of the wayfarer crews journeys... it wasn't although it claims to be part of the wayfarer series. I also really couldn't get into the fact every chapter it alternates between two characters stories, I persevered but in reaching the end I can't understand why this was done and felt it took away from the 2 stories as opposed to moving each storyline along in anyway.

After reading the first book I was looking forward to the sequel but was apprehensive as it being as good. Better than the first as it turned out. Quite expensive though but still worth it. Actually well worth it.

I loved reading this book. It was a lovely round up of the previous book and an expansion of it's ideas and characters. I loved learning more about Pepper and Blues story and the wonderful universe Becky Chambers continues to indulge their readers in. In short I hope the author keeps writing more sci-fi books in the future because they clearly have a wonderful talent for doing so.
