About this ebook

The Blood Mirror is the action-packed fourth novel in the Lightbringer series by international bestseller Brent Weeks.

The Seven Satrapies have collapsed into four - and those are falling before the White King's armies.

Gavin Guille, ex-emperor, ex-Prism, ex-galley slave, formerly the one man who might have averted war, is now lost, broken and trapped in a prison crafted by his own magical genius. But Gavin has no magic at all.

Worse, in this prison, he may not be alone.

Who will fight to prevent a tainted empire from becoming something even worse?

I didn't love the Blood Mirror, it continuous the meandering tendencies started in the last book and it adds a lot of revisionism which isn't always believable. That's particularly true when it comes to character development. All in all it felt like treading water instead of moving the story forward and it undoes some of the characterization work laid out in the previous books

This book was painful. Only once before have I wished that a book would end. The thing is, I loved the previous books. The story is actually incredibly boring. There's minimal fighting, barely anyone using Luxin in a descriptive way and nothing really intriguing happens. Quite disappointed

Once again the mastermind behind the Night Angel Trilogy has me entrapped within his creative web. Amazing read and will be counting down the days until the next.
