Raise the Heat: A Forbidden Boss Romance

This was a fun fast read, that kept me turning the pages. I liked and related to Alice and her insecurities. I had a harder time with Ethan but he did grow on me. He had a mix of cocky and caring. I liked Alice and Ethan together, I found them a good team. Both Alice and Ethan have trust and family issues. Cassia Leo did not give me the suspense, angst and drama I come to expect from her, but I still found it a good read. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy.

I love a romance set in the chef/food world! The food/restaurant parts were a great backdrop to the story. Sexy, chef Ethan had me intrigued from the beginning. He’s a mix of cocky and caring that’s impossible to resist! Alice is a really likable and relatable character. She’s been burned and is struggling to get her career back. I understood her responses and actions, I really liked her. This is a fun, steamy romance that had me smiling and turning the pages. The forbidden aspect ups the steam factor, I loved it! Both characters have trust and family issues that bring a bit of trouble to them. There’s no over dramatic situations or angst. A perfect balance. I thought it was a really enjoyable and fun read!
