About this ebook

To win this race, he’ll have to do more than hug the corners…

More than six months after the Heat wiped out most of humanity, Bailey O’Keefe keeps her bug-out bag packed and her “salvaged” Porsche 911 ready to outrun the djinn reavers. She figures eventually she’ll wind up dead. Until then? Her car’s dust cloud is a giant middle finger to Earth’s new overlords.

Until one day a red Ferrari appears in her rearview mirror, driven by the one djinn who refuses to give up and look for easier prey.

Nasim al-Jibril isn’t out for anyone’s blood. The thrill of the chase has drawn him from his too-quiet Napa Valley vineyards to L.A.’s empty concrete canyons. But it’s not victory flooding his veins when Bailey rolls her Porsche while trying to shake off his pursuit — it’s guilt for causing her harm.

Alone in Nasim’s L.A. loft, Bailey’s bones heal, caution gives way to growing attraction…and Nasim realizes she’s the choice of his heart. But this wild, freedom-loving woman deserves one last chance to race for her independence — best two out of three.

KEYWORDS: djinn, genie, post-apocalyptic, apocalypse, soul mate, angel, demon, Los Angeles, California, psychic connection, enemies to lovers, standalone romance, no cliffhanger

And the race is to win, in Christine Pope’s “Driven”, the Djinn Dominion Book 3!!! It is months since the Heat that wiped out most of humanity, and Bailey O’Keefe is keeping herself as safe as she can from the Djinn reavers pursuing her. Then there’s the one Djinn that is relentless in his chase. Nasim al-Jibril decided that the only way to catch this human is by competing with the same strategy as she. Nasim al-Jibril is determined to be successful in catching this spunky human who drives her vehicle with tremendous proficiency. But, this woman does deserve a chance to race for her freedom. This is a tale of perseverance and continuation of life for the hunted human female. Yet the portrayal of how love developed between the pair, as well as the efforts the Djinn did to show his love is only a Christine Pope type of tale. Christine is a master story teller and takes us into her characters so you can experience the whole scope of emotions and life situations. This is a phenomenal story and I recommend it highly. However, you must also read the entire series in order to understand the storyline.

Ladies and gentlemen start your engines on this book. Driven by Christine Pope is hands down one of my favorite books of 2018, it’s got a little bit of everything action, romance, adventure, and racing. Did I mention racing? As a female who enjoys auto sports and cars, this was written very well. Pope captured the language used in racing sports or anyone who is a racing will tell you. It felt as if you were in the drivers seat and handling the car. This is third book in the Djinn Dominion series, like the other two books in this series it’s a standalone novel. There is mention of background characters from the first book but it’s not necessary to have read it to start with this one. Of the three books in this series, this one is my favorite. It’s a race from start to finish, with Bailey and Nasim as they navigate the roads of Los Angeles and their relationship. The build up this relationship has it own twists, turns, and bumps in the road. (Sorry for the car analogies, can you tell that I’m a race fan?) We’ve got Bailey on the run and jut trying to survive in this post apocalyptic world. Nasim, a djinn, who is curious about the rumors of the woman who drives the sky colored Porsche. Their journey starts with Bailey trying to win her freedom from Nasim, but drives down a path that leads us to a beautiful relationship with neither of them wanting to part from the other. There are sexual scenes, so please be eighteen years or older to read this book. I did receive an ARC.

The third book in the Djinn Dominion series is also excellent and worthy of a five star. I particularly liked the heroine and hero in this book. Bailey’s character is well developed and shows a fiery person who can stand up against even the Djinn’s elders! I loved the idea of using driving and racing as a background for the story, it is a different approach. As with the other two books in the series, I highly recommend it.
