This is the 6th book in the Witches of Canyon Road series and I found it less engaging than the previous books. I thought Tony was too laid back for the adventurous Cassandra and the journey they chose to undertake. He just seemed “along for the ride”. Cassandra was a go getter and was a more take charge person while Tony was just kind of drifting thru life in general. I appreciated the glimpses into previous book’s characters. I look forward to Ava’s book next and hope there is a book for Gabriel cause he was the most compelling character of this book.

Wouldve liked to see more of their magical abilities.. like in previous books thete was magic throughout. I fely like there were snippets and only at the end there was a fight where she didnt even get to protect Tony with her shield. Anyway. On the next. I still love reading all the books by this author.

Another wonderful read from Christine Pope in the Witches of Canyon Road series. As with the other books in the series, this can be read as a stand alone as she explains the basics of the other books in the new book. This time we learned more about Tony Castillo, who happens to be Rafe’s cousin. Finally we deal more with the books that have haunted the Castillo clan since the first book in this series. We follow Tony and Cassandra Sandoval, of the de la Paz clan, as they reclaim the stolen books. The pair must work together in search of the books and as they get to know one another they begin to fall for each other. A great read that was enjoyable, Tony was one of those characters that I enjoyed in the other books. I found this book to be wonderful, so I highly recommend. I did receive an ARC.
