About this ebook

A drop of blood holds their only hope…or their destruction.

Serena Quinn is walking a tightrope strung between grief and despair. As long as Lucius Montfort holds her lover Silas captive, she is forced to pretend she’s besotted with the vampire whose offspring murdered her sister. Worse, conflicting visions of the future show her with Lucius, then with Silas — and their child. Which future is real?

As if that’s not enough, Lucius needs money — lots of money — to find a cure for vampirism. He’s got his eye on the Quinn family coffers, which Serena’s brother will empty if vampire blood can save his terminally ill daughter.

In the meantime, Serena struggles to paint a convincing picture of complete devotion to Lucius, while holding out for a miracle that The Watchers will manage to rescue her captured lover. But as her visions for any future at all shred and ravel away to almost nothing, one last chance lies in a completely unexpected blood tie that could save them — or destroy them both.

What a great trilogy and the end was appropriate. I really loved the way it all came together. It was amazing to read about the way that all these lives came together full circle. I am so happy to see a very heartwarming end all tied up with a big bow. Great job Christine !!!!!!

The Watchers close out with a bang! Serena is still reeling from the loss of her sister, the possibility her brother will sell his soul to Lucius for power and the conversion of her friend and neighbour into a Semivive! Add in the usual family squabbles with her parents and the tenuous link to her HEA with Silas, this girl is spinning far too many plates! The randomness of her visions, often giving counter indications to her future, are messing with her. Add in a real health crisis for a young relative and she realises that this could be the catalyst to her brothers downfall and the linchpin Lucius needs. Silas may languish in the belly of the beast, aka Lucius basement, but he has not given up and holds safely to the conviction that Serena does everything in her power to free him. A great and satisfying ending to the trilogy. We have seen the characters grow and their greatest fears and triumphs unfold. Sad to see Serena and Silas go but glad they got the HEA they deserved!
