About this ebook

Melancholy, Maine. Home of the Moonfall sisters.

Hadley’s had to make herself a new life. One that doesn’t involve Edric, the love of her life, who was living it up in London now. Oh, she knows he is because she went there herself and checked the veracity of it.

Until he isn’t. Because now, Edric’s shown up on her doorstep and he wants answers.

Hadley wished she had answers herself. Like why her sister Heather’s missing. Why Hedrina’s possessed by a demon. Why she and Helena can’t have regular lives, well, except for the magic part, because, let’s face it, the Moonfall sisters are witches.

Seems Edric didn’t show up alone. He’s been followed by crows, risen dead, and a mysterious fog. Not to mention that it’s raining frogs and a dangerous vine seems to be overtaking the town.

What were we saying about regular lives? Nope, it doesn’t look like the Moonfall sisters will be having that.

Don't usually read demon based paranormal stories, but this one wasn't too disturbing. There are 3 sister witches of a strong, long family line. Mom and Dad retired from the selling of spells, potions, herbal toiletries and baked goods and moved to Arizona, leaving the girls to handle the shop. The eldest reunites with her true love whom she sent to London to protect him when the youngest was possessed by a demon. There's also another sister who left under unspecified circumstances but who appears to be connected to crows because whenever any of them spots a crow, the oldest girl is mentioned. They apparently can't decide if Heather is trying to warn them or harass them. The action here involves a series of magical nuisances which the girls readily handle. The only reason for this book that I can see is to create the setting for the next book. However I gave it 4 stars because it is extremely well-written and kept me involved in the story despite its pointlessness.

An interesting story; I rather enjoyed it. However, it greatly annoys me that it's not a stand alone book. it's a ploy to get readers to buy the rest of the series; but I never do because it's a dishonest way to do business. I'm an avid reader and purchase many books, online as well as hard copies.

interesting storyline, but the cliffhangers are annoying to make you buy the next book
