It took me the first few chapters in book one to get into the series itself but from then on i couldn't have enjoyed this series more. You just want the charaters to succede and even the antagonist(s) inspire simpathy. The charater building and progression is great although the first few books do tell you what they are feeling rather then showing you. I have loved this series and it has some serious Gywnitude.

Personally, I think the entire series has been outstanding. Ms. Swanson has created a world with fascinating characters, and plot twists that make it hard to put down. This book was so good, I read it on less than 2 days. The underlying stories, with the relationship between Will and Sam made the story so much better. If you haven't picked up the series yet, what are you waiting for?

About the author

Cidney Swanson is an award-winning writer of Young Adult Sci-Fi and Fantasy including The Ripple Trilogy and The Saving Mars Series. SAVING MARS (Kirkus, starred) was named to Kirkus Reviews’ Best of 2012 and was an honor book for the SCBWI Spark Award 2014. When she’s not writing, Cidney is distracted by shiny things such as books with raised foil covers, macarons in jars, and stars set against an inky night sky. She lives in Eugene, Oregon with her husband, three kids, two cats, and entirely too much rain.
