These serialized installments just keep getting better and better. The character development over such a short period of time is quite extensive. Zaryia has changed so much from the first novel. Trafficked is very intense, and the mission the team is on is very difficult. Working together, apart and finding out who the possible 'big bad' is ... INTENSE. I cannot wait for the next installment. Of course each of these is left on a cliffhanger on purpose. But WE NEED TO KNOW. I am very excited to see Rex get his shining star moment. Claire is an incredible writer and this is a must read series.

Absolutely outstanding! I love that each book focuses on the team as a whole but also directs your attention to a particular character. More action, questions answered, more questions that need an answer, it's a beautifully written plot with excellent character development.

About the author

USA Today Bestselling author Claire Luana grew up in Seattle reading everything she could get her hands on and writing every chance she could. Eventually, adulthood won out, and she turned her writing talents to more scholarly pursuits, going to work as a commercial litigation attorney.

While continuing to practice law, Claire decided to return to her roots and try her hand once again at creative writing. She has written and published four fantasy series: the Moonburner Cycle, the Confectioner Chronicles, the Knights of Caerleon, co-written with Jesikah Sundin, and The Faerie Race trilogy, co-written with J.A. Armitage.

She lives in Seattle, Washington with her husband and two dogs. In her (little) remaining spare time, she loves to hike, travel, binge-watch CW shows, and of course, fall into a good book.
