About this ebook

A book of revelations. A seamless tapestry of erotic passion, thwarted ambition and mythic horror. Clive Barker takes us on a voyage to worlds beyond our knowledge, but within our grasp.

John Furie Zacharias, known as Gentle, a master forger whose life is a series of lies. Judith Odell, a beautiful woman desired by three powerful men, but belonging to none of them. Pie’oh’pah, a mysterious assassin who deals in love as well as death. These three are united in a desperate search for the heart of a universal mystery, and will find the truth that lies in a place as mysterious as the face of God, and as secret as the human soul. They discover the Imajica.

Imajica is many things: an epic novel of vast panoramas and intimate, obsessive passions, embracing ghosts and reflections as well as the human and the divine.

Save yourself the trouble and buy a hard copy of a wonderful book. The ebook experience is utter rubbish. My ebook reader could not keep track of my location in this book so I daily had to find my previous stopping point. Bookmarking didn’t seem to work and forget about page numbers! I should ask for my money back. Terrible, terrible, terrible experience!!!

Decent story, poor editing. The story is quite imaginative, though it reflects the prejudices of a white man in the early 90s. Giving the nonbinary main character the "it" pronoun is a problem, as is having the female main character face an identity crisis that focused on her being "owned." Otherwise, however, the story is an interesting romp through a whole new universe. The above points notwithstanding, the main issue is that the book didn't make the leap from paper to ebook very well. Missing punctuation, misspelled words, missed line breaks, and more in every chapter, and on my device the app is telling me I'm on page 6 of 7 throughout the thousand-page novel. I've read fanfiction that has better proofing. If you read this, be prepared to be taken out of immersion on a regular basis.
