Is Tithing a Christian Requirement?

Don't look bible as old and new but as a whole book. If you don't give willingly u don't need to give tithe. Even when there was no Bible cain and abel brought their offering to God. Abraham gave tithe to Melchizedek. We should give tithe not just as it is required but we should give out of our love to God. There is no limit of tithe in that sense. This is the gratitude to God. If we don't give tithe to church how can a church do mission work and spread the gospel. How can a pastor or minister lives?

Lots of inaccuracies: you don't give alms to God. The word used for alms is eleēmosunē which means compassion/ pity esp. towards the poor. Regarding seed-faith you are not accurate: you wilfully left out verses like: Luke 6:38 Give, and it'll be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” I don't believe in tithing because it belongs to the old covenant like circumcision.

I feel this book is telling to be selfish to God. Because to me giving to God is actually surrendering your financial to God is not about the money. Is about your attitude towards God. If u hold to much treasure on the earth , rather in heaven , you are telling God I don't need your help in my financial even your life is seems so well because of the richness u have, u already lost the trust from the start. Plus giving to God starts in your heart not thinking where did my money goes.
