About this eBook

FBI special agent Julianna Jameson is a top-notch negotiator who has never lost a hostage. Surely she can manage to take care of her much younger sister, Dottie, who showed up unannounced to live with Julianna while she finished her senior year of high school.

A former sniper with the 75th Ranger Regiment, Clay Fox left the army after a tragic incident that he can't get past. Now he's working as a high school resource officer until he can figure out what to do with the rest of his life.

Their paths cross when Julianna is called in to negotiate a courtroom hostage situation involving Clay's sister. Impressed and a bit intimidated by the calm, capable woman with the dark hair and blue eyes, Clay invites her to speak at his school. Dottie's school.

But as the anniversary of a school shooting from Julianna's past approaches, it becomes clear that her perfect record is about to be tested and that Dottie is at risk. If Julianna and Clay can't figure out who's behind the attacks, more innocent people will die--and Dottie is next in line.

This intense story of revenge and redemption from bestselling author and master of suspense Lynette Eason will have you up all night as you race toward the explosive finish.

***

"Expertly plotted and relentlessly paced. This high-octane thriller keeps up the momentum through the final page."--Publishers Weekly

This is book 2 in the Extreme Measures series, however I believe it is a stand alone book, as I have not read book one and had no problem following along, I do however feel like I missed not only a good read but probably some history on some of the sub characters. This book is full of mystery, drama, suspense and so much more, Eason does a great job in developing her characters and their dialogue. FBI agent Julianna James is an amazing negotiator, when she first meets the handsome Clay Snyder,

A hostage situations within a courtroom, when the verdict was guilty She was a negotiator it became personal when sister was involved. When former ranger his sister is now also involved, aiding with communication. Friendship was between them, wanting it to grow, and a future. A good plot, you feel the tension, the lack of what was going on in the courtroom Given ARC by Net Galley and Revell for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

The action starts quickly in Crossfire, yet Lynette Eason develops her characters well during it. I loved Julianna and her high school senior sister Dottie and Clay and his sister Reese. The plot has twists and turns that are nail-biting. Crossfire has lots of action and suspense and a great romance. I received a copy through NetGalley and am sharing my opinion of this very well-written romantic suspense novel.
