I'm sorry but this is the last book by Dale Mayer that I will purchase and I have many. As time has gone on I find increasingly that the storey lines are getting weaker and very much the same as each other. There is little substance, action and are predictable. The character's are not strong and basically the books consist of way to much repeated conversations between character's and little storey substance. In short the books have become so boring they aren't worth reading.

Rhys, former Navy, and Taylor, former Army served their country and came home injured. Taylor recently adopted Tallahassee a war dog for companionship and protection. While in the service she was sexually harassed by a higher-up officer, she reported him, and now she is being harassed and it’s escalating. Rhys is going to protect Taylor and help both of them heal. I loved this beautiful heartwarming story! Linda

Rhys is heading out to Oregon to check on retired war dog Tallahassee. Taylor Moore is a retired veteran, and she's hoping to be able to keep Tallahassee, but she has to get through an interview first. Rhys and Taylor have more in common than the dog though. Both are amputees, and although Rhys has come to terms with his missing limb, Taylor is still struggling. Taylor has to deal with a predator that is stalking her, and nobody is helping until Rhys shows up. An outstanding K9 series read.
