McDonald tops all the other books in The Perfect Date series with Never Be Her Hero. I absolutely adored the romance and banter between Elliston and Della. McDonald never disappoints with strong character development, witty banter, and sweet, yet sexy story. The steam level is low, but the romance is engaging and the story is delightful. I love the secondary characters as well. They give you more of a backstory for Della and insight into Elliston. I highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporary romance genre. I voluntarily read and reviewed a complementary copy of this book.

Never Be Her Hero, book 5 of The Perfect Date series written by Donna McDonald. This series is about women over a certain age finding love. We get the story of Della, who works at The Perfect Date and needs a date for her sisters wedding. Well in comes Elliston to the rescue! Can they convince the family that they are dating? Can he convince her to actually give them a try? It’s funny and quirky and sweet and sexy all in one good book! Loved the audio book!
