I have read the previous three books in this series, and I have to say, this one is one of my favorite stories . The series centers around the men and women who have made The Ease Ranch their home. A ranch as well as construction company in Texas made up of military men and women who have gone through the devastations of war, injured physically and mentally. All honorable and willing to give each other a hand and a new reason for living. This story belongs to Vince Acardi, whom we have met in previous books. A kindhearted former Army Ranger, cook and construction manager of the group. When his brother Dom , an active Ranger returns from a mission injured , Vince leaves Texas for Georgia, to help him recover. There he meets Emma Roberts , Dom’s neighbor. A woman who might change his life. From the start you will fall in love with VInce, Dom and Emma. At times you will literally laugh out loud , but also feel their pain due to past hurts and losses. Heartbreaking, but also heartwarming. Will the fake boyfriend scheme to help Emma catch the eye of her HS crutch become more serious? And if it does, will Emma and Vince part ways when Vince leaves? Definitely a story with an engaging plot, complex characters and a reminder that sometimes what we wish is not always what will be the best for us. Kudos to the author for another great story. This is book 4 in The Men of At-Ease Ranch series and it features Vince and Emma. This is a sweet, sexy romance where neither had any interest in a relationship with the other but things happen when you’re spending a lot of time with each other. There’s a lot to be said about making assumptions regarding someone else’s life altering choices. I LOVE this series! The guys and their better halves are fabulous! Great characters and great story lines keep me coming back for more. I can’t wait for my next visit!

LOVED this book! I've enjoyed each book in this series, but this might be the best one yet. Emma is infatuated with a co-worker, and has been for ten years. When her neighbor is injured and his brother, Vince, comes to help take care of him, she and he decide to fake date to make the co-worker jealous. But sometimes the best laid plans go astray....even when they work. This novel is sexy, fun, and funny, and I loved the characters and their banter...delightful. While I've enjoyed all of the author's books, this is my favorite thus far. Fans of the genre will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list.
