About this ebook

Little Johnny had a dream one night of being a Rock Star and would spend hours playing the wooden guitar he made with his blood, sweat, and tears. He got a tree branch off of his parents' oak tree in the backyard and drew out his plans for his rock guitar, and he was so proud of it. Day after day, Johnny would put on his favorite Rock bands' albums, AC/DC, Van Halen, etc. He would play on his wooden guitar and strum and strum for hours, playing by himself and in front of his friends from school, but instead of getting praised by everyone, it was just laughs and more laughs, that brought Johnny to tears. But Johnny wasn't about to give up on his dream. He said to himself, "I'll show them, and when I do, I'll get the last laugh."

Johnny begged his parents to buy him a guitar and amp, but they laughed even harder and said, "Johnny, you've been strumming on that wooden guitar for over a year now, and your singing and playing are so off-key. You should just play with your toys, and throw that piece of junk in the trash. Let's not bring this Rock Star crap up again, or you'll be grounded, and that's an order. Do I make myself clear, Johnny?" Johnny fought back the tears and said, "Yes, sir," and went to his bedroom and cried all night.

The next morning, Johnny decided to visit the guitar store in town, plug in a real guitar, and start jamming like his idols. Johnny pulled a Fender Stratocaster off the rack and plugged the guitar into an amplifier.
