About this ebook

Seventeen-year-old Raine Cooper has enough on her plate dealing with her father’s disappearance, her mother’s erratic behavior and the possibility of her boyfriend relocating. The last thing she needs is Torin St. James—a mysterious new neighbor with a wicked smile and uncanny way of reading her.
Raine is drawn to Torin’s dark sexiness against her better judgment, until he saves her life with weird marks and she realizes he is different. But by healing her, Torin changes something inside Raine. Now she can’t stop thinking about him. Half the time, she’s not sure whether to fall into his arms or run.

Scared, she sets out to find out what Torin is. But the closer she gets to the truth the more she uncovers something sinister about him. What Torin is goes back to an ancient mythology and Raine is somehow part of it. Not only is she and her friends in danger, she must choose a side, but the wrong choice will cost Raine her life

I've now read all of the Runes series (I'm not putting any spoilers in here for the new Valkyries) and I love it. The entire series has left me wanting to read more about each character and their relationships with each other. What struck me most about the books is the way each narrative intertwines with the others, I have never read stories that jump back and forth with overlapping views from different characters' perspectives. Ednah Walters must have spent so much time planning for it to work that way; it would seriously make my brain hurt! I lost myself in the realms of Midgard, Helheim and Asgard, I was angry at the Norns, frustrated by Angrboda, and in love with the characters' love for each other (although at times it was a little sickly!). I know there's more to come for the Immortals and I also know that when it's over I'll be bereft; these are books that I will revisit many times and I'm sure that the elder of my children will want to read them soon too. I would absolutely recommend these as a good fantasy read for any age upwards of early teen (clean versions available) and can honestly say they are among my most enjoyed reads to date

Oh my lanta. This book was amazing. A few grammar mistakes but even I could deal with them. While reading this you don't even care about the grammar mistakes all you care about is everything else. From the main character Raine to the guy she is madly in love with Erick and the guy she is falling in love with Torin. Her best friend Cora is such a drama queen, but she helps makes things even more exciting. I can't wait to start reading the rest of the books in the series. Torin and his friends are exciting then he meets Raine with an E, and they start falling madly in love with each other. If you start reading the Immortals book preview you are in for a real big surprise. I'm warning you you will fall in love with this book to where you can't stop reading it and you just want to reread it all over. That's how good of a book this is.

Runes is a new and refreshing story of a teenage girl and her involvement with Valkyries and Norns. This book had me hooked from the first page. Raine is a strong, independent girl who becomes torn between her best friend whom she has loved for a long time and her new neighbor, the hot sexy man who is always around to help her. The ending of this book leaves you wanting more!! For a YA paranormal romance I gladly recommend Runes, by Ednah Walters. I’m looking forward to the next books in the series.
