I love finding new authors to read, and Erika Wilde hasn’t disappointed me. This is the 1st book of a new revitalised 3 part series. Each book is a stand alone but still connected to one another by the main characters. It’s filled with a lot of suspense, drama, and darkness, that it feels so real. But it’s the love that gels it all together. Nathan Fox is a former marine and ex-vice cop now head of security at one of Las Vegas's biggest casinos in this action packed story. His newest assignment is one that will bring him face to face with his fears. Nicole Hutton, is a journalist giving what she thinks is a fluff piece to write about speed-dating. They meet at the event and it’s explosive right from the start. But, they both are just looking for a simple hook-up, nothing more. Whilst trying to sneak out, Nicola stumbles upon information to could help her investigative career, if only she can get a break and decides to go undercover to take a well known sex predator down. She meets up again with Nathan while doing so and he tries to make her leave for her own safety. These two are so stubborn and sure they are right, thankfully they put their differences aside for the sake of the case. With a past that haunts both, will this case allow them to move forward from before the person they are pursuing finds out who they really are? I only gave this 4 stars because, it's not my usual type of read... I'm not into the suspense, cops, bad guy type of story, but I bought it because I enjoy Erica Wilde's stories... I didn't even read what it was about... It's a really good story, just not my usual type...
