Playing with Desire: The Players Club, Book 6

Summer Hughes is looking for a night of pleasure and is very excited when her friends invite her to a night at The Players Club. Summer is instantly drawn to the gorgeous man standing next to Rick Dunne, his stepbrother, Declan Burke and decides to make her move. Declan quickly makes his interest in Summer known, but what Summer didn't expect was for Rick to also join them. Summer, Declan and Rick spend a hot night together at the club but then Declan gets all territorial and wants Summer all to himself. Declan is home from the Army for three weeks but wants to spend all his time with Summer with no strings attached. He knows once he goes back he will not be able to communicate with her. By the time their three weeks us up, Summer is ready for a commitment, but Declan just cannot agree with that and leaves for the Army. When something happens to Declan that makes him see his whole future differently, he must decide what he really wants out of life....an Army career or Summer. Of course, love wins out in the end and Summer and Declan get their perfect happy ever after. I just adored this story. I loved Summer. She was not afraid to go after what she wanted in all aspects of her life. ;) I also loved Declan. He was like a little lost boy just looking for the right woman to love him. Adding in Rick was fun too! I can't wait to see who he ends up with. Overall this was a fun, hot story with wonderful characters and I would highly recommend it.

This is a hard review to write because I really don’t want to give too much of the story away, I feel to get the best out of Playing with Desire you need to read this fantastic book with no expectations so I guess this review will tell you how I felt about this book and the characters. Summer, Declan and Rick meet at The Players Club and what follows is a steamy, erotic ménage scene but as much as this couple enjoyed the night there is only love between two of these players..... I loved this emotional read, the writing is strong and the characters are easy to relate to, I have come to expect lots of hot passion from Ms Wilde but what I didn’t expect was the heartbreak and the bumps in the road this trio found as they all searched for a HEA. This was certainly an emotional roller coaster and you will certainly be drawn in and captivated because you won’t find out who ends up as a couple until well into this romance. Looking forward to more from The Players Club.

Without giving away too much just know that this is an incredibly emotional erotic romance with a menage scene. It also contains a love triangle that I'm not usually a fan of because I always feel bad for the one person who doesn't find their HEA at the end of the book. I thought this would be a true triad relationship story but it's not. However, this story was written beautifully and I was able to see how Summer, Declan and Rick all felt in this relationship. In the end I was really happy how everything worked out. Definitely a must read.
