About this eBook

From New York Times Bestseller, Pepper Winters, comes the second book in Kas and Gem’s twisted romance.

A valley full of secrets.

A history full of nightmares.

A man who cannot be saved.

And a woman who holds his very life in her hands.

Strange how the villain of a story can so easily become the victim.

Utter lunacy to think the captive might now become the caregiver.

Gemma has a decision to make.

Her life or his.

Follow her heart, even when it’s screaming at her to run?

Or turn her back on the man who could become her everything?

Hauntingly raw and deep. The Author has a phenomenal talent for consuming you in her story so much that it’s almost as if you’re there watching the story unfold with your very eyes. - Melissa, GR

Fable of Happiness: Book Two continues right where Book One left off.

It explores the darkness that is Kas's mind and turns nearly to a story of survival. It's dark. It's dangerous. It's volatile. It's heartbreaking. It's fantastic. - Boys in Books are Better Book Blog

The second book and it was quite intense. I didn't know which direction it would go, and with Pepper Winters anything is possible. I don't know why I didn't think of some of the things. Gemma and Kassen have knew obstacles to fight through. The biggest being his mind. The things he does would have me running away as far as possible. However, Gemma does the opposite and stays. Some may see her bravery as stupid, but I think she is strong enough to stay with him. With his past- which we learn a lot more- Kas needs someone to fight for him and give him happiness. There were parts that I thought it was foreshadowing and was nervous about it, but it didn't happen. Then the thing I thought it was unlikely to happen, at least not in this book, happened... and OMG I have to wait 2 months to find out what will happen.

Pepper Winters took me to a vicious cycle of love, hate, nightmares, passion and trauma kn Fable of Happiness: Book Two. Set in a bone chilling mansion in middle of forest and hills, this story digs deep into minds of the characters and delivers some raw feels with coarse impact on the reader's heart. This story has the distinctive voice of psychological thriller with romantic suspense. And you will often left wondering what is happening here...Pepper Winters took dark romance and survival adventures and psychological thrillers and mixed them together to create something beyond complex and intriguing. I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

Ahhhh that ending! Another brilliant storyline with twist and turns that will keep you hooked from the beginning to the end. I will be in pins and needles waiting for the conclusion to this dark trilogy.
