Falling for the Beast. What a perfect title for this second in the duet, and not just because of the Beauty and the Beast retelling. We get to see the darker side of Blake in this one along with how Erin responds to that darkness. At the same time, the angst isn't what I expected, especially after everything that happened in the first book. That's not to say this one doesn't have its share of angst. It's just different than I expected.

*** ARC Received for Honest Review *** 4 stars So Skye Warren has quickly risen to my husband's number one favorite romance author for me to read, lol. To say this book is smokin' hot is an understatement. When you open this book make sure your husband, boyfriend, BOB, whatever you need is ready to go. After you cool off from the first few chapters the rest of the love story simply falls into place. What a great take on an old story.

This is the second book in this duet and you do need to start with book one, Beauty and The Professor first. I liked Blake and Erin a lot. Even with the age gap it is very easy to feel the emotional connection between these two and their chemistry burns through the pages. I really enjoyed this engaging story about the differences between these two and the insecurities they both have. I felt for both of these characters. They each had heavy emotional baggage that weighed heavily on them and caused stress on their relationship. My one complaint with this book was that I wish that Blake had sought some help for his PTSD. In book one it was not such a big issue but in book two I felt that this really took center stage and I just felt that the author dropped the ball by not addressing the issue in a head-on, realistic way. I simply could not believe that with the concern and care Blake tried to show Erin wouldn't force him to either seek help or be forced to leave her in his need to protect her. Still, I did enjoy this steamy and emotional series. The dual narration was a plus and both narrators did a terrific job. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer
