She married the wrong man. He married out of duty. Now, fate is giving them a second chance—but only if she can make it out alive.
At ten years old, Abby O’Hara’s world shattered when her father died, leaving her to seek solace with her grandmother in Paradise Falls. Lonely and lost, she found an anchor in Noah Murphy and Jon Sullivan. For Abby, it was love at first sight with Jon—the boy she thought was her forever love. But Jon only saw her as a friend, until he’s diagnosed with ALS. Driven by heartbreak and hope, Abby convinces him to marry even though he doesn’t love her the same way.
Noah, on the other hand, saw Abby as the love of his life from the moment they met. Finally gathering his courage, he asked her to the prom and confessed his feelings. Her unspoken truth was clear—her heart already belonged to Jon. Crushed, Noah sought refuge in another’s arms, but no one ever came close to Abby. She was always the one that got away.
Two choices, two paths, and twenty years of heartache later, both Abby and Noah find themselves single again. Life is offering them a second chance at love. But just as Noah begins to believe their time has finally come, disaster strikes. Abby’s trapped in a collapsed house, her life hanging by a thread.
Noah will stop at nothing to save her—even if it means risking his own life. But when fate demands the ultimate sacrifice, will their love story end before it truly begins?
This emotionally gripping tale of love, loss, and redemption will leave you breathless. Get your copy today because second chances at love are worth every risk.
I’ve spent long hours behind the lens of a camera, wading through cow manure, rice paddies and orchards over my thirty-year career as a photojournalist specializing in agriculture.
I love—and write—deeply emotional, small-town contemporary romance. Ironically, some of my books carry an agriculture thread in them, some more than others. Please note I used to write these books under Kate Curran, but now I write all books under Kathy Coatney.
I also writes a series of nonfiction children’s books, From the Farm to the Table and Dad’s Girls.
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me mountain biking, cross-country skiing, or running—a really, really slow jog that’s been compared to a pace slower than a tortoise.
