About this eBook

"This is a rollicking adventure filled with the most unlikely (but welcome) coincidences and drama as Beth and Cole strive to find a place where they can both belong. Finding Home is a perfect 10." –Publisher's Weekly.

There’s no place (that really feels) like home.

Cole's mother married the Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein when he was only three years old. When his step-father’s failing health requires Cole to step in and help out, he does it without complaint, knowing he can never ascend the throne. When his step-father offers to adopt him, Cole knows it's unlikely the other members of the Princely Family will ever accept an adopted heir.

Even so, part of him wants to try.

Beth grew up surrounded by loving siblings and doting parents, but she wasn't born into this idyllic family. When her biological mother reaches out, explaining that she’s a pop star in Europe, Beth feels as if fate has orchestrated their reunion. Her bio mom is impressed with Beth's skill at the piano and invites her to join the European tour. Beth jumps at the chance.

The reality isn't quite the dream she imagined.

When Beth finds herself in a jam in the middle of Europe, can Cole rescue the damsel in distress, even though he's not actually a prince? And can Cole and Beth find the true meaning of home. . . together?

Check out the full review from Publisher's Weekly:

Hair stylist Beth Graham’s biomom, the famous pop star Henrietta Gauvon, has just turned up out of the blue and invited her to tour in Europe as her pianist. Cole's mother married the Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein when he was only three years old, but even should he become an adopted son of the fabulously wealthy royal family, Cole will never sit on the throne.

Beth and Cole tell the story in the first-person in alternating chapters. B.E. Baker (Bridget E. Baker’s penname for her romance novels), writes crisp, easy-to-read prose that leaves you gasping as one revelation gives way to the next in fewer sentences than you would believe possible. She has an excellent ear for dialogue.

This mixture of historical fact and pure invention is so entertaining that trying to parse what is true and what is not is simply not worth the effort. An effervescent romance that is truly fun to read. Beth and Cole both face serious challenges and rejection as they make their way toward home and their own fairy tale ending, and both mature as a result.

This is a rollicking adventure filled with the most unlikely (but welcome) coincidences and drama as Beth and Cole strive to find a place where they can both belong. Finding Home is a perfect 10.

Beth’s life is…okay. She has a job she mostly enjoys, cutting hair. She has a creative outlet for her music, taking the occasional piano gig. And she has a family who loves her deeply, even though they’re not hers by blood. But when her birth mom finds her and offers her the job of a lifetime, joining her on tour and performing across Europe, she immediately accepts. Finally she has the chance to connect with real family and follow her passion for music. But unforeseen circumstances leave her stranded in Germany. Thankfully her friend Paisley lives nearby and offers her a place to stay. And thankfully Paisley's brother is able to pick Beth up to bring her to Liechtenstein. Paisley apparently forgot to mention that Cole is handsome and single. And in search of his place in life, just like Beth. He’s been leading the country as his father’s health declines, but since he is adopted he can’t officially rule. While Beth waits for the music tour to begin, she gets a glimpse of daily life in this small country. She watches as Cole pours his heart into serving them and how they love him in return. She begins to explore her own musical potential and how she can touch people with her gift. Could there be a place for her in Liechtenstein? And in Cole’s heart? I loved how this book explored what makes family: genetics or love. And the idea that talents are not given to us for our own benefit, but to share with others. Beth’s days in Liechtenstein before her tour began were life-changing, not just because she met Cole but because she learned how to truly perform: not as an exalted musical idol before adoring fans, but someone who connects with the audience and gives to them. As she commented, “There’s beauty in serving others,” whether cutting hair or performing for thousands. Finally, I LOVED that Beth was not the typical heroine, looking like a supermodel. She’s initially uncomfortable with her appearance (one date literally fled when he saw her without makeup and nice clothes), and Cole doesn’t find her attractive at first sight. But as he observes her beautiful nature, and as she grows in confidence and her natural beauty begins to shine, she becomes breathtakingly beautiful to him. Cole and Beth learn that together, they don’t lose part of themselves but instead gain.

Last year I thought book 5, Finding Holly would be the last book in this series. It was a bittersweet goodbye. I was happy to have read the whole series, and for one of the beloved characters, Paisley to finally get her happy beginning, but a little sad that there would be no more books to read. Shortly after I finished that book Bridget Baker announced that she had decided to write one more. This time it would be Cole's story. Cole was introduced in book 5 as Paisley's brother. He was an interesting character so I was happy to read more about him and find out who he falls in love with. Little did I know it would be Rob's sister. Rob from previous books, but namely Finding Liberty, my favorite book in the whole series and my very favorite guy from the series. Needless to say, I gobbled this book up. I enjoyed getting to know both Cole and Beth more, and their beautiful love story. This book is set mostly in picturesque Liechtenstein, and I'm not gonna lie, it kind of made me want to visit that place. Bridget knows how to write endearing characters that seem real, but at the same time I always feel like I've escaped to somewhere else. I know I've said this before, but this reminded me a lot of a Hallmark movie, only better. The characters have more depth, and I can relate to the way they feel.

We get to see more of Rob’s unassuming little sister, Beth, in this book. She reminds me of my fun/awkward baby sister. The missing puzzle piece, the baby of four. So I really loved this story. Beth was content enough in her life as a hair stylist with her weekly piano gig. In the far back of her mind she had been searching for something else, a belonging, someone she had hoped would want her. She expected that to be her birth mother when she showed up, but that dream blew up almost as quickly as it had appeared. Thank goodness for her friend Paisley! She steps in and changes the winds of fate just enough to help improve Beth’s hair, immediate outlook, and turns out, even her life. Beth and Cole both mature throughout some very large events in their lives and manage to find the true meaning of home, together.

About the author

Bridget won her first writing contest in first grade with a story about a day in the life of a little spot of air. (Who says you need a good hook?)

She hasn't stopped writing (or talking) since then, although she was briefly derailed by her pursuit of a legal career. Ultimately, boring words, well, bored her. She quit her job to spend less time counting gobs of ill gotten gains, and more time writing stories.

She loves her husband and all five of her kids (most days). She has a yappy dog and a bouncy dog, three goofy horses, a demanding cat, two lion's head rabbits, and more chickens than she cares to admit. (Chicken math is REAL!) Every day is a battle between playing with kids, riding her horse Leo, and writing. If her publication speed has slowed down, you can blame the kids and the horse.

She makes cookies all the time, and thinks they should have their own food group. In a possibly misguided attempt at balancing the scales between overconsumption and exertion, she kickboxes every day. So if you don't like her kids, her cookies, or her books, maybe don't tell her in person.
