You won't be able to put it down . Although they are historical fiction the characters face many of the same moral issues we face today. I love the way Mrs. Rivers uses scripture throughout the book. I also enjoy the digging deeper bible study at the end of each book. You can't read her books and not feel the Lord Thank you for allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you while you write, and give Him all the glory.

i was in county jail for the first time and affraid of everyone around me. i wanted to read a thriller kind of book and saw the title; "MARK of the LION, ECHO'S of DARKNESS" and on the cover it had 2 lions on its hind legs facing each other. i saw that and said to myself hey this will be cool. took the book back to my cell and started reading it. let me tell you, this book is very powerful!!! i could not put it down. You feel like your actually walking with the characters and you feel what they feel. i started sharing this with the rest of the inmates then we started having reading times where we read a chapter or so out loud for the those who couldnt read and then had discussions about what we read. It was such an amazing book. i loved it. i truly recommend reading it. it will give you a whole new outlook on christianity. thank you for reading.

This set is my favorite of all books. I dont want to give anything away. But the story is set in the Roman times with gladiators and Christians. The 1st story is based on a very young girl who suffers through some horrific events in her life with God by her side. And introduces some rather unique characters. Very well written. Have reread them several times. A must read on your book bucket list!
