Well written scenes and details capture the imagination and have the reader feeling as if they are part of the story as the evil that is approaching sends chills down the spine, passion and humor lighten the heart and suspense and excitement keeps the reader on their edge of their seat. The author has created a wonderful and fascinating world with some intriguing characters that I can’t help but love even as I want to join in and knock heads at the same time. If this is the first Dragon kin book you are planning on reading. Stop. Go and read the others first. this book is a continuation of the story. I love the characters and the authors sense of humour. Not as good as her first books in the series, (loved the first 4 books best) possibly a 4&half stars vs five, but still loved it. You can't go wrong reading G A Aiken/Shelley Laurenston books for entertainment.

I can't put into words how much I loved this book! I couldn't put it down, I couldn't stop laughing out loud. I felt like I waited so long for this but to come out and it was well worth the wait. This book had all the wonderful dragons and humans you loved from the previous stories which made the books so funny and now their children. You must read all of the dragon series in order to not miss a thing. This was a wonderful read.
