There weren't as many laughs as in previous books, but this was still a crazy trip with NY's Smith Pack edging back into the bright light The only Reed we really knew was Ronnie, but her middle brother Ricky is front and centre this time around. Reece is still getting pummeled by Novikov, in fact, the book starts with that. That is where Ricky meets Toni, along with a few of her siblings. The Toni has a bunch of siblings, all genius at what they do, at a young age, and she has brought her 11 year artist brother to get Bo's signature. Toni's family is 'almost' family with the Van Holtz family. Toni's mother and uncle Van's wife are best friends. It seemed like this was going to be a great read with a wolf not letting go of his new obsession, Toni, the jackal. There were some great moments with the family members of both Toni and Ricky, when the danger struck. It was needed, because it was when the heart of the story came out, and, gave a great set-up for future stories I really, really, liked this book, it has everything you have come to expect from the series. The added bonus is that Toni and Ricky, there are just 'regulars' in the world, but they are surrounded by those who need that in their lives

How can you not live these stories. Funny, charming, exciting and even a little sexy. All the elements of a great read.
