Hang Tough

Everything she writes is simply amazing, and the Blacktop Cowboys series has become a staple in my must read pile. So when I was given the opportunity to read and review Hang Tough, obviously I jumped at the chance! Tobin is front and center in Hang Tough, taking on the lead role of the spotlighted cowboy. He is tough and stubborn, but his southern charm and sweet demeanor makes him absolutely spectacular. In walks Jade, a spitfire of a woman who is determined to kick him like a bad habit out of her grandmother’s house, and turns his world absolutely upside down. The chemistry that Tobin and Jade have is unmistakably steamy, and their romance is a sweet, erotic and all around fun time. Ms. James’ descriptive writing skills paint every moment our characters share like an artistic masterpiece, and the setting of the story adds a certain amount of charm to the situation as a whole. If you haven’t jumped on board with the Blacktop Cowboys, this book alone is more than enough reason to get to reading! ***I read and reviewed a paperback copy of the book gifted to the blog in exchange for an honest review. [edit] Just when I think Lorelei can't possible bring it again, she does. I've been waiting a while for Tobin's book as he stole my heart in the earlier BT Cowboy books and his story did not disappoint. I was ecstatic to read that the infamous Mud Lilies had an integral part of this story. I swear, those ladies crack me up! Anyway, back to Tobin and Jade. It was funny to watch these two come together from their initial meeting and skepticism towards each other. As a reader, you could feel through the pages that they were mean to be and I had a smile on my face each time they interacted with each other. Poor Jade had so many insecurities and issues even though her GG is pretty darn amazing! It was wonderful to watch her grow and evolve into the confident woman that eventually won Tobin's heart. And Tobin...wooo wee, that cowboy is some kinda sexy. How he thought he was a loser by being unattached is beyond me! That man is grade-a Kobe beef of a man! He is sweet, kind, thoughtful and downright funny! Thanks to him, I will NEVER look at cupcakes the same way!

Dear, sweet, kind, caring, and loving Tobin has had enough! He is everybody's friend, the go-to guy, but he wants a woman and a life of his own. His one-time pit stop has become his life, and he is done, it is time to move on and get a life he wants. Just when that seems to moving in his direction, Jade shows up. She is her for nefarious purposes, so he doesn't have to be sweet Tobin with her, he can show his pull disdain for her purposes. She gives as good as she gets, but rather than annoy him, that makes him horny. She feels the same way, and once they stop and talk to each other, they find out they have so much in common. They fit together so perfectly, and while everyone else may have overlooked them in life, they are the center of each others attention. At the end, that is all the other wanted, an HEA that fit their life, and they found it with each other
