Heartbreak Me

This is a riveting, well written enemies-to-lovers romance between a long-suffering, overly accommodating and all-around good girl (with an unappreciative boss and an entitled, selfish sister) and an emotionally indifferent, ruthless, bad boy criminal (feared by his employees and associates alike) who callously insists that she take on her sister’s debt – or else. I loved the dynamic between Theadora and Atlas – the more she responded to him with anger, sarcasm and snarky backtalk, the more it pushed his buttons to react. And react he did – often unpredictably and against his true nature. With Atlas holding all the cards, and Theadora refusing to let him dictate to her or to steal her power, I expect it’s going to be a very bumpy ride for these two to a HEA – or will that be a HFN? The story is quick paced, with some dark themes: kidnapping, violence, and brutality. There’s also plenty of drama, anguish, secrets, lies and danger along with some humour and surprises, plus several seriously steamy encounters. I look forward to the conclusion of this very entertaining tale. I received a free copy of this book via Hidden Gems and am voluntarily leaving a review.
