About this eBook

INSTINCT. His was to bite me. Mine was to run.

Death has never been so tempting. No one ever cares that they're dying, when it feels this good to die. Farah's life is over in this PNR Novelette from USA Today Bestselling Author, Hanleigh Bradley.

I'm not like the vampires in your books, little girl. I'm not agonising over my own soul or the ethics of drinking your blood.

I don't want saving or to find some great love that will alter my very existence. I'm not a monster. I'm the devil himself and I have no problem playing that role.

I take what I want and right now, what I want is you... And there's nothing you can do to stop me.

"This is a one seating type of read. It flows well and the it grabs you from the beginning. And boy, the scenes are super hot."

What a great start to a dark story that seems like it could get steamy. I love vampire books and this one was no exception. It is a short story that tell how Everette found Farah and planned to kill her as his prey but then started developing feelings for her that he was not familiar with at all. Farah is immediately attracted to Everette even though she knows he is dangerous but she can not keep herself away, agreeing to stay with him even though her instincts tell her not to. I can't wait to see what happens next. I received a review copy of this story and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

3.6 Stars This is a short story that introduces us to Everette a very old, very much an arse, royal vampire And his deliciously sweet but a bit 'airish' (I say that with the kindest of thoughts) prey. Multiple times throughout this story I found myself laughing at Everette - His behaviors and responses are a comical example of the age-old adage about how a woman's "essence" can make the strongest of men nothing but putty. 🤣 This sets the tone for the series and gives us a bit of background - not a lot mind you. Things are still very vague. In my opinion it is more of a teaser - And it worked by the way I want to know what is behind the curtain!

This is the 2nd book I've read written by Hanleigh Bradley; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books. The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book. I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

About the author

Hanleigh is a USA Today Bestselling Author and is about as English as it's possible to be, without actually being English. She first fell in love with books as a child reading Dr Seuss but moved onto romance when she first read Pride and Prejudice at the age of twelve. She wishes she could live inside the world inside her mind, but since that isn't possible, she puts pen to paper and shares that world with her readers instead.
