I like this mini series so much that even though I've already bought a physical copy of all of Imposter Syndrome, I still bought this as an E-book so that I could read it whenever I wanted and further support it. Surge has quickly become one of my favorite characters in not only all of the Sonic universe, but across all of fiction, and I really hope we get to see more of her going forward!

This feels like a massive downgrade from Archie and Fleetway comics. Surge and Kit are very interesting characters, but the story suffers from awkward pacing. awkward pacing seems to be a theme with this comic series. nothing really happens in this comic, and it's another sonic story that can be skipped without missing much. I would like to see some of the older characters and stories, rather than the current snarl of a storyline. #SaveTheFreedomFighters

An interesting beginning to this mini-series, though nothing terribly impressive. The story starts out fairly weak, and doesn't feel terribly interesting, but it pulls together towards the end. It was enough to interest me in seeing where the story goes from here but not enough to instill me with a terrible amount of hope that it will be a favourite of mine. This is, at least, the most entertaining read from Ian Flynn in a while though not his best work. I would tentatively give this first issue a recommendation, even as I have some doubts that the story as a whole will deliver on the glimpses of promise I see here.
