About this ebook

Even a good man makes mistakes...

In Maggie Lee’s topsy-turvy world, Angel Delveccio is one of the good guys, but now it seems he’s gotten himself into some trouble. Can she get him out of it?

It’s not like she doesn’t have enough problems of her own. She’s struggling to pacify both the people and pets of her household -- all of whom aren’t shy about voicing their litany of complaints and demands about their new home.

Stretched thin, Maggie attempts to broker familial peace while simultaneously contending with an external threat that revolves around a human skull.

And let’s not forget that a certain mobster has tasked her with keeping his nephew out of hot water.

Can Maggie protect Angel while keeping her family safe and together, or will someone be lost?

Another winner! This is a lighthearted mystery filled with humor and talking animals. In this book, Maggie finds herself pulled in many different directions as she tries to help her family and meet her (illegal) job obligations. When she spots Angel with some nasty characters, she's drawn into his problem, even as he pushes her away. I love how Maggie has grown and matured over the course of the series. Her relationships have developed and added depth, even as her secret jobs have added more drama. If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list.

I honestly do not know how Maggie continues to function each day! She is the referee for all her family's drama (which is amplified now that they're all moving into Herschel's place and no one can agree on anything), escaped convicts are searching for her father, she has a job to do for White Hat and also needs to follow Angel for Delvecchio. This was a fun read, as they always are, and I love all the animals, and the fact that Maggie is not the only one who can hear them. This book ended with one of Maggie's tasks incomplete, so I look forward to the next book to see how that turns out!

About the author

When a fan told her that she's a "fabulous author", a "great sport", and a "very cool chick", JB Lynn immediately thought, "that's what I want my obituary to say!".

A Jersey Girl transplanted to the Sunshine State, JB (you can call her Jen) writes laugh-out-loud suspense and mysteries, along with goosebump-raising thrillers.

She also guzzles coffee, spoils her dog, wastes endless hours daydreaming, and does her best to be a "cool chick" (but if you ever meet her, you'll know how dismally she fails).
