About this ebook

Leaving a home decimated by global war and environmental disaster, humanity's only surviving Apocalypse Ship nears the end of its three thousand year journey, but humans continue to be human.

A drunk is pushed into consciousness after his brother's tragic murder. A key leader comes to a life-changing decision to end her throuple, and the ship's most senior priest spins his webs of intrigue and conspiracies.

And a mass murderer shadows their every move while killing without remorse.

The crew of the Salvation struggles to prepare for landfall, but will they save themselves in time to see their new home?

The first book of the Serving Salvation series is a suspenseful human tale of politics, relationships, and hope.

"Thrust into a position he never wanted, Charles finds himself beset with new responsibilities and old demons. Can he navigate treacherous political waters while shouldering the monumental task of preparing for Landfall, or will Salvation be his doom? This sweeping saga of humanity's last hope will keep readers riveted to their seats." Irene S., Proofreader, Red Adept Editing

“Humanity has left Old Earth and journeyed for thousands of years in the massive spaceship Salvation, seeking a new planet to call home. In the process, the people onboard have created a complex ship-based civilization with wide-ranging factions and motivations. As Salvation finally nears its planned destination, those determined to see the ship’s mission fulfilled face threats both new and old even as they discover allies and enemies in unlikely places. This sprawling space-odyssey sci-fi epic is perfect for fans of Alastair Reynolds.” Mary M., Copy Editor, Red Adept Editing

What others have said about JT Hume's writing:

"I was hooked on the first of this series, now, I have been reeled in! So many unexpected twists, but so much action. Left me breathless at times, and then sometimes sad. Just can't predict anything with this book. I just love it, and highly recommend it."

"Enjoyed the book. Kept me interested all the way thru. Looking forward to the next book."

About the author

JT Hume started life as a rambling man. He was born in El Paso while his Army parents were stationed in Texas, and he’s been through over forty states and lived in three countries over the years. Along the way, he became a proud Nevadan and product of the Silver State’s K12 and higher education system. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, something he reminds people of every day (like most veterans).

The best decision he ever made was when he asked Cassidy Carson to marry him. The jury is still out on whether accepting said proposal was Cassidy’s best decision.

JT’s books are formed from his knowledge and interest in politics, government, and religion, and his characters are maneuvered through strategies honed over many years playing incredibly bad chess. Some might say his books are flavored with the love and romance he’s shared with his soulmate over their many decades together.

Please read his books and reach out to him with constructive criticism. Or just say hi. Really, he’ll talk your ear off if you let him. Thank you.
