Jade and Carter are following a serial killer. Woman murdered in the same way, but there seems to be no connection. Miles is a computer geek, and as her kind and friendly neighbour, Jade asks him to help look at a computer. He is shy and loves her from afar. She has discovers that there is more and she feels more for him than she thought. His involvement with the case brings them closer and their relationship develops but it also brings them into danger. He can identify the killer, who now has his sights on both of them Twists and turns. Danger and death is coming closer. Caring and sharing happiness is in their future when everything is over. This is becoming a great series and looking forward to reading book 3. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I enjoyed book 2 in this series. The serial killer aspects of the story were suspenseful and exciting, but did not seem as disturbing and gruesome as book 1. I like the way the authors tell the story from multiple POVs including the killer's, keeping the reader on their toes. Having met Jade and Miles in 'Drowning in You', it was lovely to read their story. Miles's character is smart and shy, but so sweet, while Jade is a driven and tough cop, whose life lacks balance and love.
