It is a renderingan interpretation of a very complex idiom. It attempts to keep intact all the metaphysical ambiguities and mystical rhythms of the original text that are generally lost in normal translations. The author has eminently succeeded in this linguistic exercise.

Muallif haqida
The author was born in Amritsar, India in 1930 to Sikh parents. He received his education in the cities of Dehradun and Lucknow. He has always been interested in the mystery of life, the mystic, and the metaphysical. Inspired by Japji, this book is his first effort at writing by rendering it in English verse for a wider audience.
