About this ebook

A sizzling standalone in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series

Bartender Toni Del Rey is the quick-witted queen of the Olde Salt Saloon, famous for trading barbs with grizzled fishermen and putting rowdy customers in their place. Independent and fearless, she’s only ever lost her cool over one man—the childhood crush who got away. These days she sticks to the F’s: friends, fun, and fu...well, you know. But now Bash is back, and more crush-worthy than ever. Worst of all, he just bought the Olde Salt, which makes him her brand-new boss.

Bash left Lost Harbor long ago to become a professional fighter—and to forget his nightmarish childhood. He’s only back to return a favor, but when he sets eyes on Toni, he may never want to leave again. His best friend’s little sister has gone from tomboy to tempting, from mischievous to maddening—a fact he can’t ignore while they work side by side at the Olde Salt. But between Toni’s fierce independence, his reputation as “Bad News” Bash, and a few deep dark secrets, they’re hardly suited to anything lasting.

Then again, you never know what a little mischief after midnight will lead to...

This book spoke to some part of me that hadn’t realized it needed it. Toni is such an amazing character, as we’ve seen in the other Lost Harbor books, and Bash is her perfect foil. I loved the interactions between them, Bash’s heroics and his obvious care for Tristan, and the insight into the regulars at the Old Salt. This book has something for everyone, and it is (currently!) my favorite in the series.

WOW, I don’t know how Jennifer Bernard does it, but each book in this series, makes me fall more in love with this series. Mischief After Midnight is centered around Toni and Bash. Bash returns to Lost Harbor and buys The Olde Salt where Toni is the badass bartender. Toni had a major crush on Bash, that he was unaware of. As they work together, he starts having sexy thoughts about his best friend’s (Tristan) little sister. Bash rescued Toni when she was fifteen, but they never talk about that night. When Toni is attacked again, Bash comes to her rescue. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say get ready to fall in love with Bash Rivers, the sexy MMA fighter, turned bar owner. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

A Childhood crush, family baggage, work place antics and a return to Lost Harbor, everything I need in a book. Toni is a badass bartender that dreams of more and is shocked but mostly delighted when Bash, her childhood crush and brother's best friend, ends up back in Lost Harbor and a little too close for comfort. Bash is looking for something different after retiring from the fighting circuit, and returns home to the Wilds of Alaska. I love this town and these characters. Though each is a standalone book, Jenny Bernard weaves the storylines and characters together so masterfully, you feel like you are part of the town, and the lives of Lost Harbor residents. I'm just happy Bo, my favorite from Flirting with Forever makes an unforgettable appearance in this story. Go get lost in Lost Harbor, you won't regret it.
