Mackenzie and Mac are solving murders again in Sleuthing for the Weekend. This mother and daughter team is amazingly effective. Sometimes you wonder which Mackenzie is the parent, but I would hire them in a heartbeat. There is a large cast of characters so there are plenty of suspects. I am always thrilled when I do not figure out the ending. Very exciting mystery with lots of family drama as well.

A totally excellent book! I adore Mac and MacKenzie and am always thrilled to get to spend quality time with them! If you are new to the series, think Rory and Loralei from The Gilmore Girls. They are definitely not clones but the repartee has the same fun feel. The Captain calls on MacKenzie for a favor and I am not thrilled with him, but MacKenzie has a little better understanding of their relationship. Hunter is as hot as ever and we get to see a bit of his past, oh boy! Her mother seems bit more human now that we have seen her past, and was that a laugh? Mackenzie is still reeling from the bomb that her mother dropped at the end of the last book. Romance, angst, and murder are all revealed against the back drop of St. Patrick's Day Weekend in Boston! Who could ask for more. Actually MacKenzie could. She would really rather leave murder to the cops but she can't seem to avoid it, and she is deeply moved by the murders.
