About this ebook

They're both driven to succeed--at all costs. But neither of them expects that to include wedding vows...

Beau

Being captain of my team has always been a dream of mine since I first stepped out on the ice.

When Gigi slams into my life, everything I’ve known is shaken.

I’ve never been in a fake relationship before—especially with someone who hates me.

But if it means finally reaching my goal, I’ll do just about anything. That is, if I can keep my eyes—and my hands—off her.

Gigi

I’ve dreamed of marrying Beau Moreau—superstar hockey forward—for as long as I can remember.

Now I dream about punching him right in the junk.

After he ticks me off and breaks my heart—all while ogling my chest—my girlhood crush on this older man is officially over.

I think.

Oh my gosh, this is definitely one of my top reads of the year! Gigi was one feisty heroine. She knew exactly how to put Beau in his place in as few words as possible. Her actions and reactions were often hilarious as well as smart. For a younger woman, she knew what she wanted and how to get it. She was an incredible asset for her team and I loved that she was always there for her teammates. Beau was prone to act first and then beg for forgiveness. But that only added to a lot of the fun moments. Of course, he also messed up royally on occasion and was a tad clueless on how to correct it. It was nice that he never fought his feelings for Gigi. There was also a thread of possessiveness/jealousy with him that I was gobbling up. I can never get enough of that! I loved the banter between Beau and Gigi. They had quite a combustible beginning with the enemies-to-lover vibe going on. The chemistry between Gigi and Beau was evident even as they argued and fought with each other. But holy heck, when this slow burn finally ignited, this couple were FIRE! And then, just as I was getting comfortable for the wrap up at the end of the book, BAM. A twist that leads us straight into a cliffhanger. This is just cruel and unusual punishment! I am in desperate need of the next book...immediately!

cliffhanger, but it's such a good book I want to forgive it! love the puppy mishaps and the awkward moments that keep the characters loveable even when they are being stupid, and you want to slap them!

This story is packed with romance, passion, humor, family, friends, hockey, drama, twists, and more. I'm anxious to see what happens next! Highly recommend to all fans of romance, hockey, entertaining characters, family, and series.

About the author

Jessa lives in a very non-descript, unassuming town filled with the best kind of people. Most days, she can be found in the stands of various soccer fields, cheering her on Youngest, or discussing books with her Oldest (who is an English Honors student).

At night, if she's not up burning the midnight oil, Jessa enjoys snuggling up to her real-life chef hubby and watching his latest pick for a cheesy romance movie. He always chooses the best ones. (after he cooks supper, of course).
