This book is the second part of a duet and although all books in the Untamed Sons universe can be read as standalones, this one should be read after book 6, Rage. This is a dark romantic story with a guaranteed happily ever after. It does have some strong language, graphic violence and content that might be triggering.

Wow Skye, she went through a lot in this book! Glad Rage stood by her & when the Fraser's appeared I remembered their connection! Feel like a re-read of their story now! Hope we get to know the baby news in future books. Felt a bit strange there was no contact or conversations with Skye's Dad at all so we are left wondering if he knew any of what had happened to her or not. Glad Trick came back to repent at end. The story continues with Skye unsure who to trust. The damage her father has caused and the lives that have been lost mean that the Untamed Sons don't trust her. Throughout it all Rage is determined to protect his baby and Skye even though he is worried his rage will destroy them. As more and more trouble piles on them Skye discovers something about her father and Tommy is determined to ensure that the Pioneers and Skye become his, no matter what he has to do. Fast-moving and action-packed you will be left on the edge of your seat reading this. The books that Jessica Ames writes are gritty and full of drama and this one certainly doesn't disappoint. This narrative was remarkable on multiple fronts, showcasing elements of strong, protective male characters alongside Skye's and Rage’s journey of self-discovery as they embrace the challenges of motherhood and fatherhood. The action sequences were exceptional; upon commencing this book, I found it difficult to set aside, which is a testament to its engaging quality. The conclusion was particularly intense, and I look forward to the final installment, which will focus on Trick and Heidi
