About this ebook

I never thought my perp walk would lead to true love.

Then again, I never thought I'd be arrested on RICO charges and hauled away in zip ties on camera for the world to see, minutes after closing the most amazing deal of my career.

And all of it in front of my biggest rival, billionaire wunderkind Ian McCrory.

I am broke.

I am disgraced.

I am alone.

I am a sucker.

But the worst part? I have to go back to my hometown and live in my bedroom filled with relics from my childhood.

Lisa Frank never made me so mad before.

Just when I needed a rescue, I got one -- in the form of help from my biggest rival.

He can't bring back my money.

He certainly can't bring back my reputation or my pride.

But there's one thing he can bring back to me.

A sense of hope.

Maybe even love.

Ian sees something in me no one else does, and he's relentless about making me see it, too. As we grow closer, I'm starting to see that while my entire life used to be a lie, the truth is staring me in the present -- and it's a truth I like very, very much, hot eyes and gorgeous smile and all.

But I have to be careful.

I can't be too --

That's right.

Hasty.

The final book in the USA Today bestselling Do-Over Series (Fluffy, Perky, Feisty), as Mallory's sister, Hastings "Hasty" Monahan gets her turn at a happily ever after that starts off with an arrest.

Hers.

And ends with a surprisingly cheesy happily ever after.

Hasty is truly the shining pinnacle of this fabulously outstanding series! Each beautiful friend who we connected with led us seamlessly to the next lady who needed some love in her life. We laughed, we cried, we cringed, and we cheered along with them. However, for this story, I was left stripped completely bare in that I related more to Hasty than the others. Also, her story was more disjointed and the connection was not as smooth or neat. We walked outside the box for her, and then eviscerated the box. We found ourselves in completely new terrain with this extraordinary story that will leave you smiling and with so much peace. Hastings was always grasping for more. If she couldn't work to obtain it, it wasn't worth the time or effort to have. She was destined to rule the world, and her ambition got her higher then she ever thought possible. Then, like Icarius, she fell unceremoniously and painfully to the ground. Nothing was the same after that. Left reeling and trying to figure out what was left, she returned home to heal, to search, and to find. Then, the most unlikeliest of person walks into her life and turns it all upside down. She questions his motives, his pursuit and his heart. Can Hasty learn to live a life just for herself that isn't steeping in life crushing competition, or will she finally be able to find a place to breathe, grow, and truly live? I knew that Hastings would need someone who knew her inside and out to be able to break through her steely shell and show her that she was always a good person. She was just lead astray for a time. She couldn't deny the truth from Ian no matter how hard she fought him. I love how he quietly pursued her while keeping her off balance the entire time. That is the only way he could make a place in her heart for them. He pushed with determination but with a gentle heart that never stopped cheering her on and helping her to move forward. He fought for their future just as much as she did. It was such a beautiful sight to behold! Julia Kent will always be a writer who speaks to my heart on every level. She is a goddess with her gold standard of writing that excels and shines above others. You will never find anything mediocre about her incredible stories, her phenomenal characters, and her huge heart that is infused into each book she writes and sends out into the world. Her stories equals heart, laughs, and intensity that never has to apologize to anyone. They are truly life changing and stunning! Do not miss out on any of them!

Hasty is the final book in the Do-Over Series and what a perfect story to end the series on, this is a fun entertaining read featuring Hastings Monohan. This was the book I have been waiting for and I wasn’t disappointed, it was everything I have come to expect from Ms Kent. Hasty has worked hard to become successful but what will happen when the life she thought she was living turns out to be full of lies and deceit and she finds her world tumbling down around her. The only thing left for her is to go back to her hometown of Anderville, lick her wounds and try to start over but what she didn’t expect was for Ian McCrory to follow her back to the small town she grew up in but sometimes help comes from the people we least expect...... Ian is determined to help Hasty, he knows she has potential to be the best again and being attracted to the stunning woman doesn’t hurt either.... I loved this book, it ticked all my boxes and I really enjoyed this heartfelt romance that has the perfect mix of love, humour and drama. I swooned and I smiled as I was drawn in to Hasty and Ian’s journey, I was captivated from the first page and there was no putting down until I had read the final line. This book will appeal to a wide range of audiences and I highly recommend it.

Hooked on Hasty. Never has a book made me happy and sad at the same time. Happy to have read the story and laughed my pants off, but sad, because Hasty is the last of the ‘Do-Over’ series by Julia Kent. I’ve read the previous three books and each was clever, funny and sexy in their own way. Hasty took all that and ramped it up to full speed. I wasn’t sure if I’d like Hastings as she had come off as harsh and a stickler for rules whenever she appeared in Fluffy, Perky and Feisty but here we get to see exactly why she acts like that. I laughed and cried with her as she tried to right all the wrongs that have suddenly beset her. Her arch-nemesis isn’t the man she believed him to be. Ian McCrory is Hastings rival. They are both financial advisors and each chase the same clients. But when Hastings’s world of high living comes tumbling down, it’s Ian, not her absent husband who comes to her rescue. Hastings certainly has a lot on her plate, and needed help to find herself again. I enjoyed watching her become a better, more rounded person. I wish Ian could have played a bigger part in the overall story, but even so, this was a fun read that held my attention and let me forget my woes for a few short hours.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julia Kent writes romantic comedy with an edge. Since 2013, she has sold more than 2 million books, with 4 New York Times bestsellers and more than 19 appearances on the USA Today bestseller list. Her books have been translated into French and German, with more titles releasing in 2019.

From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes. Unlike Shannon from Shopping for a Billionaire, she did not meet her husband after dropping her phone in a men's room toilet (and he isn't a billionaire she met in a romantic comedy).

She lives in New England with her husband and three children where she is the only person in the household with the gene required to change empty toilet paper rolls.
