Catherine Marshall (1914–1983), New York Times bestselling author, is best known for her novel Christy, which captured the hearts of millions and became a popular CBS television series. She shared the story of her husband, Peter Marshall, in A Man Called Peter. The film adaptation, an immediate box office hit, was nominated for an Academy Award. A decade after Peter’s untimely death, Catherine married Leonard LeSourd, executive editor of Guideposts.
