If you like the Richer than God series and the Hades series, don't read this book. If it didn't say written by Amelia Wilde, I would not believe it. It is NOT up to her usual standards. It's boring as heck! I never connect with the characters. The villain and "the family " are underdeveloped and confusing. Seriously, not up to her usual standards. Buy something else by Amelia.

I got through 3/4 of the book and I felt there was no plot. The female is a sadomasochist running away, from what, I don't know. I just didn't want to keep reading to find out. The male sadist...I just didn't understand him. I didn't get the point of this book except the Dom/Sub thing, and i just didn't enjoy it. Undeveloped. It just went on and on and on. It may be connected to other books. 🤷

I was a bit confused about how the business went with the "contract." As for Justice, I'm wondering how in the hell she endured all of that "pain" for 5 days. Maybe I got impatience with the book, or I felt like this is unreal(of course, it is nonfiction). however, I like the ending, tho. would I read the series? no. I had enough.
