About this ebook

Are these two wounded hearts destined to heal together?

Jake

My time in the military left me with scars inside and out that not even the best doctor can seem to heal.

The only highlights of my day are my service dog, Atticus, and my job at Oakside with other wounded Military members.

Then, one day, she walks in, and everything changes...

Kassi

There aren't many options for a girl like me after high school.

Everyone in my hometown joined the military, so I did, too.

I thought, great get school paid for, get out, and live my life.

I wasn't told about deployments, being injured, having to learn to walk again, and the pain of reliving the worst moment of my life over and over again.

They also didn't warn me about Jake and his annoying persistence of not letting me give up...

This is a short military romance you can read in under an hour. Jake works at Oakside in security, and Kassi is a patient there. She had dated Jake's brother when they were younger. So they have known each other for a while. What they didn't count on was the attraction that they now felt for each other. This book has some drama, but it is resolved in a good way. This is a great series that shows the brotherhood of those who are in the military. They are a family to each other—lots of steam and an HEA. Wonderful book! Saving Jake is part of the Oakside Military Heroes series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, girl gets her ex's older brother military romance. Kassi is an army nurse who is at Oakside, recovering from a service injury. Jake is hunky, ex-navy seal, and the older brother of her ex-boyfriend, Caden. He works at Oakside. When the two see each other, the connection is instant. Kassi is reluctant to talk about things, but Jake and his service dog, Atticus, are able to help her recover. As they grow closer, both worry about Caden's reaction. Will he be okay with their relationship? I loved this couple so much. The chemistry was hot 🔥 hot 🔥 hot 🔥 hot. There is a little bit of drama, but then we got the sweetest HEA. It was so good. This couple was so sweet together and so supportive of each other. Jake was just dreamy. I'm so excited for Caden's story. It's going to be hard waiting until 2025 for it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout.

I just love a great military after discharge books. This one hit all of the buttons! Jake is healing and suffers from PTSD. At the rehab facility, Jake has a job and that in itself helps him. Kassi meets Jake at the same rehab facility. She used to date Jake’s younger brother. This amazing book showed how vets get used to civilian life. There are many tactics used and together, the rehab center seems to work for the residents. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntari
