About this ebook

**This is a prelude to Someone Like You (originally published as Baby, It’s Cold Outside) (Rescue My Heart #1). It ends on a cliffhanger and should not be read by itself. **

A runaway author

Ivy Blake is on a deadline. Actually, she’s past the deadline and desperate to find some peace, quiet, and inspiration to get her book back on track. She doesn’t plan on a Tennessee blizzard or the bear that causes her to crash.

A grumpy lumberjack

Harrison Wilkes isn’t actually a lumberjack, but he’s doing his best impression during this week away from real life. He needs to rest, recharge, and stay the hell away from people, while he makes some major life decisions. He doesn’t plan to be executing a snowbound rescue.

Is it getting hot in here?

When Winter Stormageddon traps Ivy and Harrison together, suddenly his one-man cabin feels more cramped than cozy. As more than the fireplace heats things up, Harrison’s starting to think the interruption to his solitude might be worth it. Will the grumpy lumberjack prove to be inspiration or distraction?

I've never actually read a prequel I like until this one. I really like the style the author uses so you know what the characters are thinking and saying without switching narrating voices. Can't wait to start Harrison and Ivy's story. Its gonna be good!!!

I enjoyed this when it was first written as a novella but wanted more and Kait Nolan has given us that. In this new expanded full story we get to learn so much more about Ivy and Harrison and it really helped fill their characters out. These characters had great chemistry and I'm looking forward to more of Eden's Ridge.

I demand more Ivy and Harrison! NOW! I’m nowhere near being done with their story. I love this author’s quirky, zany sense of humor. She always has me in stitches over at least one scene in every book. A pair of loners run away from their responsibilities, seeking peace. It’s either the set up to a great joke or one heck of a story. What if it’s a little bit of both?
