No Breaking My Heart by Kate Angell is a wonderful book that brings the reader once again to Barefoot William. In this book we meet Alyn Jayne & Halo Todd, a player for the Richmond Rogues. From their first meeting, which is hysterical, until the end, Alyn is a challenge for Halo, who has yet to meet a dare he would turn down. Halo becomes a new man, giving up his womanizing and partying ways once he meets Alyn. I loved the appearances of some of my favorite Rogues & their connection with the story along with previous Barefoot William residents. There is a secondary romance between Landon Kane, Halo’s best buddy, and Eden Cates, of the Barefoot William Cates, which just adds to the fun and games within the story. Kate Angell is a wonderful story teller and it was very difficult to put this book down. She wrote a fun and entertaining story with enjoyable characters that were well written and complex. I really want to retire in Barefoot William or at least winter there. This book should definitely be on everyone’s summer reading list. I am so looking forward to the next Barefoot William/ Rogue story by Kate Angell. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

What's not to love in this book, a sexy baseball player, the beach, a cute little boy and an adorable pug, named Quigley. Halo plays for the Rogue baseball team, before leaving for spring training he meets, Alyn, "cock a doodle do" and her younger brother, who is a baseball fanatic. He takes them on a beach vacation. Halo develops feeling for Alyn, and now her has to prove his love to her. Alyn is very independent woman and has had her heart broken before, she is not ready to have it broken again. Loved this story, will have you laughing out loud. You can help but fall in love with all of the characters. Great writing style, you can really tell her love for baseball and dogs. I highly recommend this book for the perfect summer read.

Another awesome book in the series. Each book in the series can be read standalone as the characters change but the location is the same. Grab a cold drink, a beach chair, and this book for a relaxing time and a great story. Spring training is starting up again and with it come the Rogue players to the little coastal town of Barefoot William. Halo Todd is the Rogue's star outfielder and he's heading down to Florida for spring training but before he leaves Virginia he meets (in the most hilarious way) a beautiful woman and her adorable much younger brother. When he whisks the whole family off for a beach vacation Alyn has to keep reminding herself not to count on Halo and absolutely don't let her heart get involved. Halo has other plans though - can he convince her he's the one she should trust?? I highly recommend this one!
