Fired from her latest photo shoot, Kaz is given the chance to make everything right again if she’s willing to accept Jake Lowell’s proposition in this thrilling romantic suspense. Jake finally finds the perfect model to pose for a body-jewelry shoot and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the sizzling chemistry between Jake and Kaz as the growing attraction between them explodes with red hot passion. The relationship however is not quite as hot as they decide to keep things on a friends with benefits level because of both of their ambitions but really they both have a few personal demons they have to conquer as well and the emotional turmoil has the reader gravitating toward the strong, compelling characters throughout the story and the fast paced, smooth flowing plot thrills readers with lots of suspense, excitement, passion and romance. Secrets add a bit of tension to the story especially as those secrets have evil lurking in the shadows and the spine tingling excitement builds as the evil decides to unleash the perfect revenge. The scenes are well written with vivid details that bring the story to life and make it easy for the reader to become immersed in Jake and Kaz’s romance as the intriguing events draw the reader in and ensures that they keep turning the pages with lots of sensual and playful photo shoots spice up the heat throughout the story. The wine country setting adds a romantic ambiance to the story as Jake and Kaz begin their work which certainly amps up the burning chemistry and I was completely enthralled with their stories from the very beginning. I also got to hand it to Kate Douglas that is one attention getting way of introducing Jake’s brother Ben while also bringing about quite a bit of emotional closure and I can’t wait to read Ben’s story. 4 ½ STARS

What a fantastic story! Kaz and Jake are two unique characters with explosive chemistry that jumps from the pages. Kaz is just simply Kaz. Beautiful and smart with an amazing capacity to love. Jake is a tortured soul. Past events have forced him to create his own world and he never lets anyone get too close. Until Kaz. Loved the authors writing style and how she handled the development of the relationship between Kaz and Jake from sizzling sexual to much more. I highly recommend this one.
