Spine tingling tension builds as Ben notices that some suspicious characters are following him and with the danger escalating, involving more people and painting targets on everyone that Ben cares about, there’s plenty of pulse pounding excitement to keep everyone on their toes. Unforeseen connections and unexpected twists adds to the intrigue as growing friendships and family ties adds to the emotional intensity of the story and really has the readers becoming caught up in the book as the well written scenes and vivid details bring it all to life. Kate Douglas knows how to draw the reader in and ensnare them in a web of intrigue, passion and romance keeping them right where she wants them and then gives them a climatic conclusion that is not only believable but makes perfect sense even if the bad guys are a bit insane, and she did just that with Ben and Lola’s story and I can’t wait to read Awakened.
