Loch is fighting his dragon. If he doesn't find his mate soon he will lose complete control. Add to that his mother's assignment to give his father justice from the family who murdered him. Lock agrees to go and take care of it. Who would think the first thing he finds is his mate. The second is that her family is the second part of his mission. Now what? Ash has to be better, faster, stronger than her brother. He's a shifter and she is not. They mine for gold. Her brother runs one of the sites she another and her father the last one. Finally, she's given a chance to prove herself. The crew knows she's a woman and test her, her father and brother don't believe she can do it. But she will! Now is not the time for a man to interfere. She never gets involved with her crew. And she's hired Loch. She doesn't know why she is so drawn to him. He does. Now what? His mother's quest. His mate. If he chooses one will the other be lost to him? I always enjoy the author's books. Shifters with a real plot and great characters not to mention plenty of steam. I'd say this is one of my favorites, and I feel that way--but then I always do when I read a new Kimberly White book. Now just to wait for the final. It sounds like a good one.

I loved it. True fate has a way of changing how people live their lives. Starting out to avenge your father's murder only to find your fated mate in the process. I absolutely loved how there was twist after twist to how everything worked out. I can't wait to see what happens next.

This is an intriguing dragon shifter romance with a fantastic plot filled with unexpected events. The unique characters are well developed and impressive with individual personalities. There is: various kinds of shifters, drama, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, adventure, action, mystery, magic, secrets, danger, threats, vendettas, family issues, attractions, confrontations, realization, mates, hatred, jealousy, conflict, lies, deceit, anguish, rage, fear, compromise, happiness, love, some steam & a satisfying ending with a tantalizing glimpse of another book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and really would recommend it.
