About this ebook

A powerful dragon shifter out of control. An enigmatic woman with a secret that could change the world. Their explosive passion is as deadly as it is destined.

Kian Brandhart’s dragon has gone rogue. He knows he's done bad things but can’t remember what. Then he meets a beautiful mystery woman named Calla who sets his heart on fire. It's dangerous to be near her or anyone else, but Kian can't seem to get her out of his head. The more he tries to do the right thing, the stronger he feels himself sliding into darkness. To save Calla and himself, he'll have to find the strength to let her go.

Calla Lazar knows the pull she has over shifters. She’s used it to stop dozens of shifter wars but it always comes with a price. If she stays too long in one place, the shifters start going mad. Kian Brandhart blazes into her life and stirs her heart, just when she’s about to run again. She knows she’s meant for him, but the minute he comes to town, people around Calla start showing up dead and she suspects Kian might be connected.

As Calla races to stop a killer, her pull to Kian grows stronger. Though Calla holds the key to saving his soul, Kian knows it may already be too late.

As always once I pick up the book I cannot put it down until I'm finished. The drama, the suspense, the intrigue. Kian not knowing knowing if he actually did something or not, and then Astor the stand in grandfather, and Calla the mysterious girl with a past she's trying to keep hidden from everyone. Definitely an awesome read. I'm glad to see that all of the brother get to live but I am sad to see the series end. I wish there was more to it. But all good things must come to an end and then you get to start the new sets. I can't wait for those. ❤❤❤

Wow! For both this book and the series. Reading the end did give a satisfying conclusion, however, it was such a good book with so many surprises I didn't want it to end. Kian is the last brother to find a mate. He hasn't and the sickness is taking hold. That means the human side can't keep control of the dragon--very dangerous for the humans around him. He watched his brothers suffer and find peace with the discovery of their mates. They were human with a little extra, shifters, all some magic that made them able to be with a dragon mate. Not so for Kian. He left home to either find her or do what must be done. Calla has a special ability with shifters. She could reason with them and help keep them in control. Her friend, not quite family but he'd been with her for years, was the only one who knew about her ability. He also advised her when they needed to move on. Someday she would find a place to call home and stay--she hoped. Kian was in a bad way when they met as she served him a drink. After they met the town started experiencing brutal murders. Who? What? Why? From here things get scary and there are more questions than answers. The most important question is will Kian or his family follow through and make sure his lack of control doesn't harm humans. I liked that I couldn't figure out who was the bad guy. Right to the end I wondered how it would turn out reminding myself that in romances there has to be a HEA, doesn't there? Maybe you'll figure it out. Guaranteed you'll like the characters and their caring for each other even with all the questions between them. You can read this one alone, however, it is a great series. Alone or all of them this is a good one sorry to see the series end.
