I have read both of the books featured in this duet multiple times. They are favorites of mine and I am super excited to purchase this duet for my new Kindle. Especially with this hot new cover, yes must have it. The first book is The Con Artist - Saskia and Lachlan's story heats up the pages. She is a starving artist, Lachlan, an art collector who wants her to steal a painting for him by the late Quill. Saskia ends up at the mercy of the man after she con's him with a fake. However, in her guilded cage secrets are revealed and soulful connections made. Saskia has fallen for her new Master and between the mind games and kink it seems maybe he is falling for her too as he pushes her and pushes her throughout the story. Excellent dark read, very deep and emotional as well, I can't put it down once I start reading. The Escape Artist is probably my absolute favorite from Kitty, or maybe it's tied with a few. It's beyond awesome and another that I can't stop reading once I start. We met Ari in The Con Artist and I loved him, he reminded me of a Viking, a sexy Viking. Kitty didn’t disappoint with the development of Ari’s character and Claire was wonderful. Ari’s patience and caring for Claire after all she had been through even after what she done to him further showed Ari’s noble character that we got glimpses of in The Con Artist. Both of these books stay on my reread list, I had mixed feelings about The Con Artist when I first read it but the more I read it, the more I loved it and when The Escape Artist came out I fell completely in love, they are perfect! I don't want to spoil the books but if you like dark romance and need a new read or want to try a new author then this is a great deal. Two books packed into one set and they are a great place to start if you have never read Kitty before

The Con Artist This is a classic Kitty Thomas story, in that, you have no idea what to expect and follows no storyline you have ever read before. Saskia gets caught before she even knew she was being hunted. She is ensnared by desires she didn’t realize she even had. Saskia is set free while being enslaved, and her captor knows her better than she knows herself. But he isn’t careful enough, and she knows him, catches him, and makes him completely hers while he is taking her control. They both fall victim to the other by the end, and are as lost, as they are fulfilled, in being together. Perfection! The Escape Artist That was, well, that was one of the most amazing reads I’ve ever read! It flowed, it ebbed, it was smooth, and bumpy, but not sharp or cutting. It mesmerized me, it soothed and fired me up, at the same time, about the same things. Claire and Ari didn’t need to know anything about each other, not from their lives, because they connected on a primal level. They knew each other, and exposed to the other, their souls, and that was enough. The real world had no place in their connection, and only a fox named Arnold was allowed to intrude on their solitude
